I love the Read Harder Challenge and have done it three years now. Every year I find a few more categories that I’ve already read a book or two in. Even though I can barely find my own books for other tasks, I do have a few great memoirs I’d love to share with everyone for task 4 this year!
This year task 4 is a humor book and I have read some amazing memoirs that I would definitely put in the humor book category. Even though these books are essentially about these women’s lives, they are also hilariously written and specifically use some subjects for humor. I also love to see how many memoirs I can use for tasks because it turns out that people’s lives are often as interesting as fiction.
Here are some humorous memoirs for your consideration:

Furiously Happy – yeah, it definitely tops the list. It’s been over a year since I read this book and it still cracks me up and I’ve recommended it to everyone I’ve heard say they wanted to read a good memoir.

Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? – Kaling is just hilarious and I loved every moment of this memoir. It covers her childhood and early career and observations about life that were hilarious.

Wishful Drinking – I first saw the comedy special Fisher did for television and cracked up. As soon as I saw it had been a book too, I put it on my TBR and then it worked out perfectly as my celebrity memoir for last year’s Read Harder Challenge.

The Tao of Martha – I’m not 100% that this is listed as a humor memoir, but it was hilarious.

Spending the Holidays With People I Want to Punch in the Throat – to be fair, I’m pretty sure I want to punch Mann in the throat too but I did find this memoir of the Holidays humorous. I can’t even imagine dealing with all those people that she has around her, but I can barely get one Christmas tree up a year let alone multiple trees, like she has.
