Women at Marvel Comics Watch – December 2016 Solicits, 37 Women on 25 Books — STRAITENED CIRCUMSTANCES: Tim Hanley on Wonder Woman and Women in Comics

So this isn’t a normal Femme Friday post, but I wanted to share someone with you all that regularly writes about women and does some great research into the progress of women in comics.

I love this blog and have been following it for a while. I think it’s been two years. As suggested above, it focuses exclusively on women in comics and not just the characters. There are also reviews of every Wonder Woman comic that comes out. The writer of the blog, Tim Hanley, also wrote two of his own books: Investigating Lois Lane: The Turbulent History of the Daily Planet’s Ace Reporter and Wonder Woman Unbound: The Curious History of the World’s Most Famous Heroine. Marvel’s had an impressive run with female creators throughout the fall with 30 or more women in every round of solicits we’ve seen for the autumn months.
