Waistcoats and Weaponry by Gail Carriger

We’re back at Mademoiselle Geraldine’s Finishing Academy for Young Ladies of Quality and there’s never a dull moment at this school. Well, not for Sophronia, who can’t keep to herself. I guess it’s what makes her such a promising little spy.

As if things weren’t already complicated enough, the world goes a little more bonkers in this one. Everyone is growing up and it’s a little too fast for some of them. Sophronia faces a lot of things in her adventures, but none are quite as complicated as the matter of her future. What’s a girl to do?

As with the others, this was a great book. I look forward to getting my hands on the last of this series and then starting the Parasol Protectorate that this is kind of a spin off of. It’s set in the same world but takes place much later. Sorry if this one recommendation is a little sparse, but I don’t want to ruin anything from the prior books if anyone hasn’t read them yet all my favorite feminist things in this book still stands from the prior two. They are ridiculous fun.

Have you read Waistcoats and Weaponry? What did you think?
